CHAPTER 4: Temporary Base

'Are you guys ready?' Mitch asked us.

'Yeah,we are ready to go!' Deadlox said,after checking his stuff in his 'inventory'.

'Let's use the secret passage to go out. We don't want to attract too much attention.' Quentin said.

'Good thinking,mudkip.'Jerome said.

There were lots of secret passage inside the base,not everyone in the base knew about this.Every Team Crafted members know all the passage way like the back of our hand.It took us no longer than 3 minutes to travel from one place to another place,which was very convenient and fast.In the meeting room,there was a secret passage under the long table which led down to the bottom.I opened the trapdoor that covered the 'passage' and started to climb down the ladder until I reached the bottom. Deadlox, Quentin and Jerome later climbed down and joined me. Before Mitch closed the trapdoor, he told everyone of us to be careful and wished us good luck. After he closed it, the light from the above was gone.Luckily we put some torches around the tunnel so we can see where were we going. We walked for like 2 minutes,no one spoke during that time. In front of the exit, there was a pressure plate which connected to some redstone and some pistons,when you stepped on it, the exit will open automatically just like an autodoor.Just when you went outside and turned around, you can only see some dirt block in front of you. It was a well hidden and  clever design.

After we went out, it was already afternoon. I saw some sheep wandering aimlessly and ate grass,Jeffreys(pigs) staring at us and even cows jumping on some trees(you can say they were 'climbing').The whole scene was very peaceful and it was a great time to have a picnic outside or laid down to have a nap in the meadow. Something tells me that it was way too peaceful and quiet...

There was a little pond next to our base where squids lived in there.Everyday and night they kept on talking nonsense and insulting everyone in the base,especially Sky.They were extremely annoying and no one likes them, this is also the reason why Sky hates Squids.The only solution to keep their mouth shut was to kill them. Today, when I looked at the pond, there was no squids! I have a really bad feeling about this, when the squids were not inside their pond, bad things usually happen.

Me and my friends stood in front of the exit door,discussed the direction of Ant's house.

'Do we have a compass or a map?' Jerome asked.

'I got a compass.'Deadlox said and he got out the compass from his 'inventory'.

Deadlox looked at his compass and he pointed the direction of North West.

'There!' he said. After that, we followed Deadlox's direction.

Nightfalls when we arrived to a snow biome, mobs started to spawn around us.I saw few Creepers wandering around and they were very close to us, there were zombies and skeletons as well.We must built a temporary base or we will be dead!

'Does anyone have cobblestone or wooden planks?' Deadlox whispered.

'I have 1 stack of Cobblestones and some torches' I said quietly. Luckily I have brought some cobblestone and torches with me in case we need to build a temporary base or need to build a bridge.

'Quick, let's build the temporary base here!' Deadlox said quietly.

Our temporary base was built under a tree,we used leaves as our rooftop and we built a 8x8,three blocks high base made with cobblestones. The room was a bit crowded but it fitted four of us. We put two torches in the room and four beds together,I don't  like to sleep that close with other people as it was very awkward but there was no choice,either slept here or died outside. I chose the first bed on the left,Deadlox next to me,Quentin the third and Jerome the last.Jerome and Deadlox decided to be the night guards and watch the base for 15 minutes each time, after that was me and Quentin's turn. Later both of them got their swords out and went outside.

I decided to let myself to rest, I took off my space helmet, put it beside me and closed my eyes.

And this was where nightmare begins............
